I am a Ph.D. Candidate and an Instructor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Texas, Arlington. I expect to graduate in the Spring 2009. My PhD supervising Professor is Prof. Ramez Elmasri. My main research areas are: XML keyword and loosely structured querying, distributed query processing and caching, recommendation systems, personalized search, and Bioinformatics Databases (Mediators, Ontologies).

I worked as Engineering Specialist for Seagate Technology, Minnesota-USA from 1995 to 2005. Seagate Technology is the leading computer disc drive manufacturer in the US, whose employees exceed 10000 worldwide.
I am married and have two children, Ameer (6 years old) and Aya (2 years old). My wife is a teacher and currently pursuing her B.S. in Criminal Justice. Some of my personal interests are:
